Great Foods Ideas For Low Carb Diet

There are tons of great low carb diet food available out there which are quite delicious, as long as you find the right recipes and use the right ingredients.

You should make a low carb diet food list before you head out to the supermarket, as there are many delicious and nutritious foods for low carb diets.

Beef such as hamburger patties and steak have high amounts of protein and are also quite low in carbohydrates, but processed meats such as salami and ham should be avoided as they are often cured with sugar (carbohydrates).

Chicken is particularly great in a low carb diet, anything from chicken breasts and thighs to drumsticks and wings.

Fish and shellfish all contain practically no carbohydrates which makes delicious and perfect low carb diet food. And most fish fillets or steaks have about 22 grams for 3 1/2 oz. of cooked fish or 6 grams per ounce respectable protein in it.

Eggs, milk, cottage cheese, yogurt and all cheeses offer you a lot of protein, an egg equals 6 grams protein, 1 cup of milk equals 8 grams, 1/2 cup cottage cheese equals 15 grams, and 1 cup yogurt equals 8-12 grams, respectively. So it is a very important food group that needs to be included on any low carb diet food list.

Beans are one of the most important foods to include on a low carb diet food list. Beans offer a lot of protein, and are important to include in any diet to ensure that you are getting the nutrition your body needs.

Of course fruits and vegetables are always great low carb diet food, so regardless of what your meal plans may be you should always be stocked up on delicious and fresh fruits and vegetables to use either as side dishes or snacks throughout the day.

This will keep you from turning to other fast snacks such as cookies and cake that are not so healthy for you and which are full of carbohydrates and calories.

Make eating low carbohydrate diet food as fun as you can, in any way you can think of and even ask your friends and family for some great ideas to help you out. Eating healthily can be better than eating unhealthily, as long as you incorporate the right foods and prepare your meals properly.
